One of my favorite ways to cook turkey bacon is in the air fryer. The only downside to that cooking method is that you can’t cook much at one time in most air fryers.
If I’m making a full pack of turkey bacon to serve the entire family, my go-to method of cooking more turkey bacon at once is in the oven. It comes out just as perfect and crispy every time!
Because turkey bacon is low in fat, there isn’t much grease that comes off of it as it cooks. You don’t need any special equipment except for a sheet pan and maybe some parchment paper for easy clean up.
Why This Recipe Works
This is a quick and easy method of cooking turkey bacon. After you lay the bacon strips out on the sheet pan, it’s pretty hands off from there except to turn it once.
You can make more at one time. You may need a couple of sheet pans, but you can cook an entire pack of bacon at once and it only takes 10 to 15 minutes!
You don’t need any special equipment.
Step-By-Step Instructions
Ingredients
- 1 package turkey bacon: you can use regular or low sodium, but you do not want to use packaged “fully cooked” turkey bacon.
The entire recipe and instructions can also be found in the recipe card at the bottom of this post. You can print the recipe from the card, if needed.
Prep!
Preheat your oven to 375°F.
Line a baking sheet or two, depending on how much you want to make, with parchment paper.
Create!
Lay the turkey bacon strips out on the prepared baking sheet so that they are in a single layer and not overlapping.
Place the sheet pan in the oven and bake for about 7 minutes.
Flip the bacon over and bake an additional 5 to 7 minutes. This will vary depending on the thickness of the bacon so keep a very close eye on it. It can go from crispy to burnt very quickly.
Transfer to a paper towel lined plate to drain any excess grease off.
Present!
Serve warm.
Tips and Techniques

Most turkey bacon is cured and/or smoked, so technically it is cooked before being formed into strips. However, you will need to read the label or company website to determine for sure.

I had already baked fully cooked bacon in oven before I saw this post. May I ask why post says to not to do so?

Hi Sue. You’re basically just reheating the already cooked bacon, so the timing is likely not going to be the same. This cooking method has only been tested with uncooked bacon for timing purposes. For the fully cooked bacon, I’d reheat it the way it says to on the packaging. Hope this helps.

This bacon was perfect!! And bacon in the oven is such a hack! I am always so afraid of oil splatters on the stove (and my husband hates cleaning it up haha) so this is the perfect solution 🙂

Honestly, oven bacon is the *only* bacon! Okay and maybe on the Blackstone. But seriously, it gets the best crisp! Tried it with turkey bacon this week and it was great. Thanks for the idea!

I am in awe at how crispy this turkey bacon came out. I’m definitely making it this way from now on.
