We are back at it with another keto foil pack dinner recipe! I just loved the Sausage and Pepper with Cauliflower Foil Packets so much, I had to come up with another variation so my family doesn’t get tired of eating the same thing over and over again – ha!

This foil packet meal is loaded with sausage, cabbage, and radishes. It’s basically a low carb version of Sausage, Cabbage, and Potato Foil Packets. And don’t worry, I’m not going to tell you that roasted radishes taste just like potatoes. They don’t. But they definitely taste completely different than raw radishes. If you aren’t a fan of raw radishes (I’m with you there!), I would encourage you to give cooked radishes a try.

Why This Recipe Works

  • This recipe can either be grilled or baked in the oven.
  • It’s an easy recipe that can be made ahead of time.
  • With only 4 net carbs per serving, it’s a great option for those following a low carb or keto diet. It’s also naturally gluten free.

How to Make Sausage, Cabbage, and Radish Foil Packs

Prep!

All of the prepped ingredients needed for the sausage, cabbage, and radish foil packets laid out in bowls and plates over a white backdrop

Once again, there’s a bit of chopping to do for this recipe. You will need to cut the cabbage into bite size pieces, quarter the radishes, slice the shallots and mince the garlic. Cut each sausage link into 8 slices and mince the parsley and chives.

Preheat oven to 400°F or grill to 350°F. Lay out 4 pieces of foil, each about 2 feet long.

Tip: you can do all the prep work ahead of time, if you prefer.

Create!

Cabbage, radishes, shallot, garlic, salt, and pepper on a sheet of foil.

Divide the cabbage, radishes, shallots, and garlic evenly onto one side of each of the pieces of foil and season with salt and pepper.

Cabbage and radishes topped with sausage slices and butter on a sheet of foil

Top each pile with 8 slices of the sausage and 1 tablespoon of butter.

Foil packet all wrapped up on a white background

Fold the foil over the top and roll up all the edges tightly to prevent extra butter and juices from leaking out.

Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes or until the radishes are fork-tender.

If grilling, cook for 15 minutes, then check the radishes for fork-tenderness. You may need to continue grilling for another 5-10 minutes – be careful not to burn the cabbage.

Present!

2 foil packets filled with cabbage, sausage, and radishes and topped with fresh herbs on a gray baking sheet

Once packets are done cooking, open and top with fresh parsley and chives.

Tips and Techniques For the Best Keto Sausage and Cabbage Foil Packets

  • You can do all the prep work ahead of time, all the way up to assembling the foil packets, if you prefer.
  • Use caution when grilling as food tends to cook faster than it does in an oven.
  • Store leftovers tightly wrapped in the refrigerator. Use within 3-4 days. If reheating in the microwave, be sure to remove the foil completely before heating!

FAQ’s

  • What kind of sausage is best to use in foil pack dinners? You can use any type of sausage in this recipe. I prefer to use chicken and apple, but you can use pork sausage as well.
  • Can you make Sausage and Cabbage Foil Packs ahead of time? Yes, you can make these foil packets ahead of time and store them in the fridge for up to a day before cooking them.
