I am a lover of anything and everything made in a fancy coffee shop. However, I have a pretty strong tendency to lean towards frugality, so I don’t frequent them too often.
But, the craving hits every once in awhile, especially for iced coffee when the weather turns warm. I decided it was time to figure out how to make iced coffee at home and with that this super easy recipe for an Iced Vanilla Latte was created.
I made this latte with my favorite medium roast coffee, a little milk, and vanilla coffee creamer. Using coffee creamer gives the latte it’s vanilla flavor along with a sweet creaminess that is just so delicious!
Why This Recipe Works
- There is no need for any fancy equipment or even espresso. You can make this latte with your regular, everyday coffee that’s been made in a regular drip coffee maker.
- You only need 3 ingredients and a few minutes to make a homemade Iced Vanilla Latte.
- Making your own iced coffee drinks can save you a ton of time and money – especially if you frequent coffee shops often. The best coffee is a coffee that tastes great and doesn’t cost a small fortune for you to enjoy daily.
What Do You Need to Make Iced Coffee at Home?
All you need to make iced coffee at home is a coffeemaker, the coffee of your choice and any additional add-ins (we’ll get to that in a moment).
Iced coffee is typically made with espresso or a strong brewed regular coffee.
So how do you make strong brewed coffee?
Making strong brewed coffee is easy. Simply increase the coffee to water ratio, or use a darker roast coffee. For stronger coffee, I use 2 tablespoons of a medium roast coffee per 6 ounces of water.
