Once you try these Honey Garlic Green Beans, you won’t want to eat them any other way!
Once upon a time, I asked Daryl what he wanted me to make as a vegetable side dish to some kind of meat recipe I was planning to make for dinner. Out of the blue he responds, “How about some green beans with honey and garlic?” as if I had made them before. I hadn’t, but it sounded good to me! After playing around with the requested ingredients a bit, these delicious Honey Garlic Green Beans were created! I need to ask him to start making up food he wants me to make more often!
These turned out so good that I almost feel if I put honey and garlic on any vegetable it would be equally as good! I haven’t done that though because now when I think of honey and garlic, I think of green beans! My eight-year-old son, Jaxon, only complains slightly when he has to eat green beans now (compared to acting like the end of the world is happening!) and I think he really likes them too! Of course, he still complains a little because he doesn’t want to admit he likes vegetables! I’m onto him though!
Honey Garlic Green Beans Recipe
This recipe could not be simpler to make!
Wash the green beans and trim the ends. You will need a medium skillet, spatula, and all your ingredients out and ready to go!
Saute the beans in some olive oil with salt and pepper, add in some garlic, drizzle with honey and devour! You know it’s good when the first word that comes to mind when you are thinking about eating vegetables is “devour!”
I made a small batch for the photos for this post and then I ate them ALL as a snack afterwards! I have to say, they make a really good snack! Sweet, yet healthy. Perfect! I do usually serve them along side of fish, beef, or chicken, though.
