Homegating has a lot of perks! It’s nowhere near as expensive as going to a game these days, you can snuggle up on your couch, and you can make just about any kind of homegating snacks you can imagine! Of course, that’s my favorite part!
These are my top 10 homegating snacks!

Double Bacon Jalapeno Poppers
What kind of food blogger would I be if I didn’t share at least one of my own creations with you guys! This one has been a HUGE hit and for good reason – it’s filled and wrapper with…BACON!! Hence, the double in Double Bacon Jalapeno Poppers. These take no time at all to make and you can make them as mild or spicy as you want! Yes, really! Just remove some or all of the seeds for less heat!
Nachos
These are another treat we make around here often. The best thing about making your own is that you have full control over what goes on them and what doesn’t! We usually use ground beef, refried beans, cheese, tomatoes, onions, guacamole, jalapenos (so yeah, we have some kind of weird jalapeno addiction), and sour cream!
Pizza
What kind of sports-related party doesn’t have pizza?!? This is a great option for those who don’t like to cook and for those that do! Sometimes we order ours, sometimes I make my own. I tend to prefer pizza that isn’t your usually run-of-the-mill pizza, but to each their own! The kids LOVE making their own pizzas too! You can buy the dough pre-made at the grocery store now making it even easier!
Sliders
Sliders are just mini cheeseburgers. They cook faster and are easier to make on the stove top when the weather isn’t grill-friendly. Or, get yourself a really cool indoor grill! Traditional or all fancied up, these are always a delicious option!
Wings
I was never a fan of wings until the boneless varieties started showing up. Now, I can’t get enough! Of course, hot wings are a favorite but we also love mild versions especially for the kids!
Chili
Chili is perfect in the Fall for Football season! It works out great while homegating because you make a big crockpot full and just leave it set on warm so guests can serve themselves whenever they want it. I like to set out a few extras on the side like shredded cheese, crackers, and sour cream. If you’re feeling ambitious, some warm homemade cornbread goes great with chili!
Cheese and Crackers
You can never go wrong with good ole cheese and crackers! I’ve seen quite a few football shaped cheese balls on Pinterest if you want to get really fancy!
Vegetable Trays
It’s always nice to add a healthier option. Anytime I’ve ever had a vegetable tray out, it’s been wiped clean by the end of the party! You can make our own or buy they premade. I usually make my own (no one ever eats the cherry tomatoes in pre-made trays!) and buy a tub of vegetable dip.
Fruit Salad
Who doesn’t love fruit when someone else has already gone through all the trouble of washing it and cutting it up for them? It’s a favorite among kids and adults!
Cupcakes or Cookies
I like to have a special treat out like cupcakes or cookies for after the game (if you can wait that long)! You can make things really fun by decorating them like footballs or in your favorite team colors! My Dark Chocolate Mint Cupcakes are one of my go-to’s for homegating because of their brown and green color!
Do you have any special homegating snacks you love to add to the list?

ha I have never heard of the term Homegating before. As much as my husband loves football, he loves to watch from home so these snacks are perfect!
