Skip the expensive coffee shop Chai Latte and make your own with this simple recipe. All you need is 2 ingredients and 5 minutes to make a coffeehouse-style chai anytime you want.

Ingredients

  • 1 chai tea bag (see notes)
  • 8 ounces water (boiling)
  • 2-3 tablespoons vanilla coffee creamer

Instructions

  • Add a chai tea bag to a mug and add 8 ounces of boiling water. Let it steep for about 4 minutes.

  • Mix in the creamer to taste.
    2-3 tablespoons vanilla coffee creamer
  • Top with a couple of star anise, if desired.

Tips and Techniques

  • If making iced chai, use two tea bags and allow the tea to cool before pouring over ice.
