- 25 ounces pasta sauce (jar or homemade)
- 25 ounces frozen ravioli (can use fresh, see notes)
- 16 ounces mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (shredded)
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Add 1/2 cup of the sauce to the bottom of a 13 x 9-inch casserole dish or 12-inch cast iron skillet.
Place half of the ravioli in a single layer on top of the sauce. Top with half of the remaining sauce and half of the mozzarella cheese.
Add the remaining ravioli and top with the remaining sauce and mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the casserole is heated through.
Top with fresh, minced parsley, if desired.
Tips and Techniques
- If using fresh ravioli, reduce the bake time by half.
- To brown the cheese, after baking place the casserole under the broiler for 1-2 minutes. Watch closely to prevent burning.
- Store leftovers tightly covered in the refrigerator. Consume within 3-5 days.
