  • 16 ounces mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (shredded)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Add 1/2 cup of the sauce to the bottom of a 13 x 9-inch casserole dish or 12-inch cast iron skillet.
  • Place half of the ravioli in a single layer on top of the sauce. Top with half of the remaining sauce and half of the mozzarella cheese.
  • Add the remaining ravioli and top with the remaining sauce and mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the casserole is heated through.
  • Top with fresh, minced parsley, if desired.

Notes

Tips and Techniques

  • If using fresh ravioli, reduce the bake time by half.
  • To brown the cheese, after baking place the casserole under the broiler for 1-2 minutes. Watch closely to prevent burning.
  • Store leftovers tightly covered in the refrigerator. Consume within 3-5 days.
