Mini Apple Pie Bites

Mini Apple Pie Bites, stuffed with apples, cinnamon, and sugar, are a quick and easy way to enjoy apple pie. They are perfect for entertaining or when you need a quick, last minute dessert.

  • Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with a Silpat mat or parchment paper.
  • Cut the pie crust into 8 even triangles.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. Set aside 2 tablespoons.
  • Sprinkled the remaining sugar mixture evenly onto each of the pie crust triangles.
  • Sprinkle the chopped pecans over the brown sugar mixture, if using.
  • Peel and slice the apple into eight even slices and mix with 1 tablespoon of melted butter.
  • Place an apple on the smallest end of each pie crust triangle, and roll it all the way up to the opposite end.
  • Brush the top of each roll with the remaining butter and sprinkle with the reserved brown sugar mixture.
  • Bake in the pre-heated oven for 10 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Line your baking sheet with a Silpat mat or parchment paper to make clean up easier. Some juices may leak out of the pies while they bake.
  • Make sure that your pie crust is at room temperature before you begin. If the crust is tearing or not sealing closed, you can wet it a little bit with water.
  • You can also use crescent rolls instead of pie crust. You will need to preheat the oven to 375°F if you opt to use crescent rolls. The baking time will be about the same.
