Ingredients

  • 3 large russet potatoes * peeled and sliced about 1/4" thick
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 6 cloves garlic * minced
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese * shredded
  • 3 slices bacon * cooked and crumbled

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. Spray a medium size baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Whisk together the heavy cream, milk, garlic, flour, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  • Place half of the potato slices into the bottom of your baking dish.
  • Sprinkle on half of the shredded cheddar cheese and half of the crumbled bacon. Top with the remaining potato slices.
  • Pour all of the cream mixture all over the tops of the potatoes.
  • Cover tightly with foil and bake until the potatoes are tender, about 60 minutes.
  • Once the potatoes are tender, remove the foil and add the remaining cheese and bacon.
  • Bake for an additional 5-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and just starting to brown.
