- 1 cup raspberries
- 1 avocado * peeled and pitted
- 1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder * use dairy free or vegan, if needed
- extra raspberries and sugar free chocolate shavings or chips * optional garnish
- lemon juice * optional (I don't use it but others have mentioned they like to add a little squeeze to the berries)
Add the raspberries, avocado, almond milk, and protein powder to a blender canister or smoothie cup attachment for your blender.
Blend on high until everything is well-combined and smooth.
Taste and adjust ingredients, as preferred.
Top with a couple of extra raspberries and some sugar-free chocolate shavings or chips, insert a straw, and enjoy.
Tips and Techniques
- For a more chocolaty smoothie, use unsweetened chocolate almond milk.
- You can use any protein powder that you like. If you use a dairy free or vegan protein powder, the recipe will be completely dairy free or vegan.
- Smoothies are enjoyed best when freshly made, but can be kept in the refrigerator or freezer and re-blended before serving at a later time.
