Apple Brandy Cider Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 apple (cut in 1/4-inch thick slices)
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups apple cider
  • 6 ounces apple brandy liqueur

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat.

  • Add the butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. Cook 1-2 minutes to soften the apples.

  • Stir in the apple cider and continue to cook until warmed through.
    1 1/2 cups apple cider
  • Remove from the heat and stir in the apple brandy.
    6 ounces apple brandy liqueur
  • Divide the liquid and apples evenly between 4 glasses.

Notes

Tips and Techniques

  • You can strain the liquid through cheesecloth to remove excess cinnamon particles, if preferred, however it is not necessary.
  • Serve this cocktail warm or chilled.
  • Store in the refrigerator, tightly covered, for up to  2-3 days.
