Ingredients

  • 1 pound salmon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 tablespoons bourbon whisky (I use Maker's Mark)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • Season salmon with salt and pepper and place on a lightly oiled baking sheet.
  • Roast for 8-12 minutes, depending on the thickness of your salmon, or until opaque and can easily be flaked with a fork. The internal temperature should reach 145°F.
  • Meanwhile, add the maple syrup, brown sugar, and bourbon to a small saucepan. Heat on medium until well blended. Keep warm, stirring as needed.
  • When the salmon is done roasting, drizzle on the glaze. Garnish with minced parsley or thin slices of green onion, if desired.
