Nutella Babka

Nutella Babka is made with just 4 ingredients. It’s a fun, rich and delicious recipe that is simply beautiful on the dessert table, especially during the holidays. The best part is how surprisingly easy it is to make!

  • Roll the pizza dough out onto a lightly floured work surface into a 10-inch by 12 inch rectangle.
  • Spread the entire jar of Nutella onto the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border all the way around. Sprinkle the chocolate chips all over the Nutella.
  • Starting at the long edge closest to you, roll the dough to the opposite end, as tightly as you can. Transfer the dough to the refrigerator to chill for at least 30 minutes.
  • Transfer the dough to the refrigerator to chill for at least 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Once the dough is chilled, remove it from the refrigerator. Cut the dough in half lengthwise. Line the two pieces of dough next to each other and, starting at one end, criss-cross them until you get to the opposite end. Trim the last 1/2-inch off of each end.
  • Bring one end around to the other to form a circle shape. Transfer the dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, if you prefer. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Add the sugar and 1/4 cup of water to a small pot and bring to a boil. Once the sugar is fully dissolved, remove it from the heat. It will thicken as it cools. Brush the glaze over the entire babka and allow to set.
  • Cut into 8 slices and serve.

  • If you are making your own pizza dough, you can use a kitchen scale to weigh 12 ounces. Store any extra in the refrigerator, tightly covered, for up to 2 weeks or freeze it for up to 3 weeks.
  • Store leftover babka tightly covered at room temperature. Use within 3 days.
