- 3 large russet potatoes * peeled and sliced about 1/4" thick
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 6 cloves garlic * minced
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese * shredded
- 3 slices bacon * cooked and crumbled
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Spray a medium size baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
Whisk together the heavy cream, milk, garlic, flour, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
Place half of the potato slices into the bottom of your baking dish.
Sprinkle on half of the shredded cheddar cheese and half of the crumbled bacon. Top with the remaining potato slices.
Pour all of the cream mixture all over the tops of the potatoes.
Cover tightly with foil and bake until the potatoes are tender, about 60 minutes.
Once the potatoes are tender, remove the foil and add the remaining cheese and bacon.
Bake for an additional 5-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and just starting to brown.
