Notes

Tips and Techniques

  • Other nuts can be substituted for the peanuts. These clusters taste just as delicious with almonds, walnuts, cashews or pecans.
  • Dark chocolate chips can be used in place of milk chocolate chips for a richer chocolate flavor.
  • A small ice cream scoop can be used to scoop out the clusters instead of a spoon, if preferred.
  • Colored sprinkles can be added for different holidays or special occasions.
  • Clusters can also set in the refrigerator for 20 minutes, or you can let them set at temperature which can take a bit longer depending on the room temperature.
  • Store in an airtight container in a cool place or in the refrigerator. Consume within a month. If you live in a high-humidity area store in the refrigerator and use parchment paper in between the layers of the candy so they don’t stick together.
