Seasoned Rutabaga Fries are a crispy, delicious low carb alternative to traditional french fries. Dip them in your favorite sugar free condiments and they will cure all your cravings. Each serving has only 7 net carbs making them a great choice for those following a keto diet, as well.

  • Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • Place the rutabaga fries into a large bowl and toss with the olive oil.
  • Combine the salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder, parsley, and garlic powder, then sprinkle over the rutabaga fries and toss to coat well.
  • Spread the fries out onto a baking sheet.
  • Roast for 30 minutes, turning once halfway through, or until just tender.
  • Serve as is or with your favorite dipping sauce.

Tips and Techniques

  • Buy rutabagas when ripe. They will usually have a slight purple coloring to them. Avoid rutabagas with any green shoots coming out of the top as these are likely over-ripe.
  • Store leftover cooked Rutabaga Fries in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Use within 4-5 days.
