Snickerdoodle Cookies (without cream of tartar)

This recipe is similar to traditional Snickerdoodles but does not include cream of tartar.  They are simple to make, and as delicious as the classic. These cinnamon sugar cookies are thick and soft!

Soft-Baked Snickerdoodle Cookies Ingredients and Substitutions

Make The Dough

Prepare the cookie dough. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. This step helps to keep the cookies from spreading too much when baking.


Portion Out Dough

Scoop out a tablespoon of dough and roll into a ball. Roll each dough ball into cinnamon and sugar to coat. Place on a prepared baking sheet. Flatten slightly.


Bake The Cookies

Bake 8-10 minutes, or until the bottom edges are just lightly golden brown.
