Cook onions in butter. Add garlic. Slowly pour in wine and cook a few minutes. longer to reduce by half.
Add flour. Whisk in milk, then heavy cream and chicken stock. Cook to thicken sauce. Remove from heat and stir in cheese.
Stir in the ham and peas. Taste and season with salt and pepper, as desired.
Stir in the cooked spaghetti.Transfer the. mixture to a large casserole dish.
Top with bread crumbs, if desired. Bake the casserole for about 20 minutes or until hot and bubbling.
