Prepare the pasta according to the directions on the box until al dente.
The cheese sauce is made with onions, garlic, flour, mustard powder, milk, cheddar and Gruyere cheese.
Stir the pasta into the cheese sauce. Add the diced ham and stir until evenly mixed in.
Transfer the pasta mixture to a large casserole dish. Top with breadcrumbs.
Bake for 20-25 minutes. Garnish with fresh, minced herbs, if desired.
