Season chicken with salt and pepper. Cook in butter for 3-5 minutes per side or until done through. Remove to a plate and tent with foil to keep warm.
Add the remaining butter to the skillet. Once melted, add the sliced garlic. Cook for 30-60 seconds, or until just fragrant.
Add chicken stock and reduce by half. Add cream and cook until thickened about 3-5 minutes.
Add the chicken back to the pan and coat with the sauce.
