Make the dough but combining the dry ingredients, then cutting in butter, then gradually adding a milk and cream mixture. It's a very thick dough.
Divide the dough in half and shape into two circles, about 1/2-3/4-inch high. Cut each disk into 6 triangles.
Place the scones an inch or two apart on a baking sheet. Brush with extra cream, if desired, for added sheen once baked.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until just lightly browned on the bottoms. Allow to cool.
Prepare the chocolate glaze. Drizzle with a spoon over the scones. Allow to set.
