I am notorious for buying a Thanksgiving turkey that is far too big for our family. On the bright side, this means lots of leftovers – my favorite!

While I am a big fan of all of the side dishes during the holidays, I tend to get bored with leftover turkey and am always trying to come up with new ways to use it.

Turkey Sliders and Turkey Tetrazzini are two classic go-to recipes for leftovers, but now we’re adding Turkey Fried Rice to the mix for a whole different flavor.

If you have leftover ham, try this Ham Fried Rice recipe too!

Why This Recipe Works

This is a really quick and easy recipe to prepare. It takes less than 30 minutes and only requires 9 ingredients plus a pinch of salt and pepper.

It’s also a versatile recipe. You can use the vegetables listed in the recipe or swap other vegetables like corn, mushrooms or bean sprouts. This recipe can be used with other proteins instead of turkey, as well. Chicken, pork, and shrimp would all work out great!

Turkey Fried Rice is also the perfect for meal prep and can be enjoyed as it is or with other sides like egg rolls or a simple salad.
