My baking and pastry instructor in culinary school loved streusel. She always kept a big bag in the freezer so it was available for whenever we needed it for our own creations.
This is where I got the idea to make my own Streusel recipe to do the same. It’s a simple recipe that you can use in an endless amount of ways to add even more flavor to desserts.
Use this recipe as a base to top all kinds of sweets and treats, or add to it to change the flavor profile a bit to suite different baking needs.
My favorite recipes to add streusel to are muffins and pies, but further down this post you’ll find even more ways to use it as well as ways to modify it for different needs.
