Adding fresh berries to salads is extra delicious any time of the year, but especially during the summer months when they are at their absolute best. Using this Strawberry Balsamic Vinaigrette is another way to carry that flavor into every single bite.

We use this salad dressing on our Strawberry Spinach Salad, and it’s also great on other types of salad, over roasted or grilled meats like chicken and turkey, or even over vanilla ice cream for a unique treat on a hot day.

Why This Recipe Works

Salad dressings are typically very easy to make at home. This recipe only requires 6 ingredients, including salt and pepper, and just minutes to prepare.

It’s made with fresh strawberries for the best flavor. The vinaigrette is sweet from the berries and honey and balances perfectly with the tanginess of the balsamic vinegar.

The recipe doesn’t contain any artificial ingredients or preservatives and is naturally gluten free and low in carbohydrates.

Step-By-Step Instructions

  • pinch salt
  • pinch pepper

Add all of the ingredients to a smoothie blender cup or food processor and process on low until well blended.

To make this vinaigrette by hand, you’ll want to chop the strawberries as small as possible, then add them to a medium bowl with vinegar, honey, salt and pepper. While whisking, gradually add the olive oil until it is fully emulsified. With this method there will be bits of strawberries in the dressing.
