Adding fresh berries to salads is extra delicious any time of the year, but especially during the summer months when they are at their absolute best. Using this Strawberry Balsamic Vinaigrette is another way to carry that flavor into every single bite.

Step-By-Step Instructions
Ingredients
- 6 fresh strawberries (roughly chopped): if fresh strawberries are not available, frozen strawberries that have been thawed can be used.
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 4 teaspoons honey (or maple syrup)
- pinch salt
- pinch pepper

Prep!
Roughly chop the strawberries.
Create!
Add all of the ingredients to a smoothie blender cup or food processor and process on low until well blended.
To make this vinaigrette by hand, you’ll want to chop the strawberries as small as possible, then add them to a medium bowl with vinegar, honey, salt and pepper. While whisking, gradually add the olive oil until it is fully emulsified. With this method there will be bits of strawberries in the dressing.
Present!
Serve as desired.
Tips and Techniques
- To make this vinaigrette by hand, chop the strawberries as small as possible, then add them to a medium bowl with the balsamic vinegar, honey, salt and pepper. While whisking, gradually add the olive oil until it is fully emulsified. With this method there will be bits of strawberries in the dressing.
- Frozen, thawed strawberries can be used, though fresh is always best.
- Store extra vinaigrette in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Consume within 3 days for best results.
