I seriously count down the days until I finally receive my FabFitFun subscription box each season. Spring subscription boxes usually are bright and cheery and just make me feel even more ready for the season to begin! This box did not disappoint!

For those not familiar with FabFitFun, I’ll try to explain how it all works and answer any questions you might have. If you already know the deal, then skip on ahead to check out all of the items!

What is FabFitFun?

FabFitFun is a women’s lifestyle subscription box that ships quarterly. Each box is curated for the season and contains fashion, beauty, home, travel, fitness, food items, and more!

Each season, they also include a magazine explaining all of the items and even some articles on how to use some of them. It’s actually one subscription box insert that I look forward to checking out!

Can I Customize My FabFitFun Spring 2019 Box Contents?

Yes! Each quarter, subscribers get to choose some of the items they will receive. If you become an annual subscriber, you get to customize your box even more!

I also love that some quarters, FabFitFun also allows you to add on additional choice items for much lower than the original cost. This option was available for the FabFitFun Spring 2019 box, but I did not take advantage of it this time around.

In addition to being able to add on additional choice items, FabFitFun also opens a window of time where you can purchase add-ons for significantly lower prices than the retail cost. I try to take advantage of this, but sometimes the annual subscribers buy up all the good stuff before the window opens for us quarterly subscribers. This season, I added on two orders of Pier 1 prep bowls. I really needed some for all of the recipes that I share on this blog.

An extra perk of buying an additional choice item or add-on items, is that your FabFitFun Spring 2019 box will be shipped in the first wave!

** Keep in mind that the window to customize your items closes before boxes ship. If you sign up after the window is closed, you won’t get to choose items until the next season’s box.

How Much Does FabFitFun Cost?

FabFitFun is regularly $49.99 a quarter. Each box contains over $200.00 in items (usually well over)! You can also pay for a year (4 boxes) upfront for a total of $179.99 which saves you $20.00 over the year and also gives you additional benefits including:

  • more customization
  • access to Add-ons before anyone else
  • earlier shipping

You can save $10.00 off of your first box by CLICKING HERE!

Now that we got through all that, let’s see what’s in this season’s box!

FabFitFun Spring 2019 Subscription Box Review

Please keep in mind that some items will vary and that you will not have the ability to choose items at this time. The window to choose items is only open for a short period of time, before boxes start shipping out. I will, however, tell you what other items you may receive should you sign up for a subscription before the FabFitFun Spring 2019 box sells out.

Show Me Your Mumy Floral Robe rolled up and a green water bottle on a wood backdrop

Show Me Your Mumu Brie Robe ($84.00)

All subscribers were able to choose between this really pretty floral print robe or a canvas Deux Lux Demi Backpack ($75.00).

I didn’t think I would get much use out of the backpack, so I chose the robe. I thought it was going to be satin, but it’s actually made of polyester with a soft cotton-like feel to it.

It’s a one size fits most, with shorter sleeves. I will definitely be wearing this to get ready in all season long!

S’ip by S’well Water Bottle (19.99)

Select members (those who pay for the year upfront) were able to chose between this water bottle, The2Bandits Athens Necklace ($30), or Ciaté London Extraordinary Translucent Setting Powder ($22)

I didn’t get to choose since I just pay seasonally for boxes. FabFitFun included the water bottle in my box. While I think it’s a great bottle and a well-known brand, I just have way too many water bottles in my cabinets.

I’ll likely swap or gift this one.

Quay My Girl Sunglasses and Case on a wood backdrop

Quay Australia My Girl Sunglasses in Black/Smoke ($55.00)

All subscribers could choose between these sunglasses, Quay Autralia Vivienne Aviators in Black/Smoke ($60), a Picnic Set from Sunnylife Lovers ($30), or Korres Wild Rose Vitamin C Brightening Sleeping Facial ($48).

I was a little torn on what to chose here, but I went with the My Girl sunglasses because my current pair are pretty scratched up. It was tough to choose between the 2 styles, but I think they are both great options.

The sunglasses are actually really nice and are now my go-to pair!

Giadzy Copper Measuring Spoons and the box they came in on a wood backdrop

Giadzy Copper Plated Measuring Spoons ($15.00)

All subscribers were able to choose either the measuring spoons, Lavido Aromatic Body Lotion in Mandarin, Orange, & Bergamot ($19) or a mystery item with a value of $20+.

I chose the measuring spoons because I cook and bake for a living and can never have too many! These are really pretty and should last a long time!

Tula Facial Cleaners and Dr. Brandt De-puffing eye gel on a wood backdrop

Tula Purifying Face Cleanser ($28.00)

Select members could have chosen this facial cleanser, a Daily Concepts Daily Detox Brush ($18) or Eleven by Venus Jump Rope ($15).

Once again, I didn’t get to chose this item, but I am really happy with the one that I got. I already have a similar brush and multiple brand new jump ropes that have never been used.

I have yet to try the facial cleanser, but am so intrigued by the use of probiotics to cleanse and clarify the skin. This is a huge bottle that will likely last for months!

Dr. Brandt Skincare Needles No More No More Baggage Eye De-puffing Gel ($42.00)

All FabFitFun members received this de-puffing eye gel.

I wasn’t super excited about this at first, as eye puffiness isn’t an issue for me usually. However, I read that it also helps reduce the appearance of dark circles, and for that, I’ll take all the help I can get!

I also think this item would be great for air travel as well.

Ouai Leave In Conditioner and Manna Kadar body scrub on a wood backdrop

Ouai Leave In Conditioner ($26.00)

All FabFitFun Members received this Ouai Leave In Conditioner.

This leave in conditioner works not only to detangle, but also to smooth and soften hair. It also protects hair from heat. This conditioner is lightweight so it should work great on even fine hair.

Manna Kadar Champagne Body Scrub ($24.00)

All members received this body scrub. Body scrubs are my favorite all year long, but especially in the spring and summer when more skin is showing. This one made with charcoal and dead sea minerals. It’s a bit messy, but works great to cleanse and hydrate!

3 pastel colored ceramic prep bowls on a wood backdrop

ADD ON: Pier 1 Mini Prep Bowls x 2 ($49.00)

I added on two sets of these mini prep bowls. I’m always cooking and baking, and these come in so handy!

These bowls are really cute, but also sturdy. They will be perfect for helping prepare some amazing recipes!

Final Thoughts on the FabFitFun Spring 2019 Subscription Box

All of the FabFitFun Spring 2019 Box contents inside the box

First, let’s talk about value of the FabFitFun Spring 2019 box. Is this seasons box worth the $49.99 that I paid for it (not including the $18.00 extra that I paid for the prep bowls). In my opinion, absolutely. I received $343.99 worth of items for a total of $67.99 (including the bowls).

For me, what makes a box “worth it” is if I will use the large majority of the products.  I will use every single item in this box, with the exception of the water bottle and that’s only because we have a ton of these types of bottles already.

Next, does this box fit the season? Again, I have to say yes. The print on the robe definitely reminds me of spring. And while sunglasses are always in season, they come in especially handy when outdoors more often. Looking through the remainder of the items, all of them have a self-care, detoxifying theme to them. Kind of reminds me of spring cleaning for your well-being.

Does this box hit on Fab, Fit, and Fun? Again, yes all the way! The robe, sunglasses, and body scrub are especially fab, while the water bottle and jump rope options fall more into the “fit” category. As far as fun goes, for me, the measuring spoons means even more baking and cooking and I love playing around with new beauty products.

Overall, just a great box!
