The combination of sweet and spicy has got to be one of my favorites ever and I always find myself wanting to combine the two when I’m making new recipes. There was no exception to that tendency when I put together these Spicy Strawberry Goat Cheese Crackers! The sweet strawberries and spicy jalapenos in Smucker’s Fruit & Honey Strawberry Jalapeno Fruit Spread (it’s a new better-for-you option from Smucker’s that I just discovered) mixed with the tanginess of goat cheese made for one amazing flavor combination on top of crunchy, low-calorie Wasa Multi Grain Crackers!
These little bites of deliciousness are great as an appetizer, quick snack, or even enjoy them for lunch! They take only minutes to prepare, so when company shows up unexpectedly, or your child returns home from school, daycare, or summer camp starrrrrving (as mine does every single day) this makes for the perfect quick treat! It is also really easy to pack up the few ingredients needed to make these crackers and take them along with you on a picnic at the park or your next family gathering!
All you have to do to make them is stop by Walmart and pick up the Smucker’s Fruit & Honey Strawberry Jalapeno Fruit Spread, Wasa Crackers, goat cheese, and some fresh basil.
Spread the goat cheese onto the top of each Wasa cracker.
Add a small dollop (about a teaspoon) of the Smucker’s Fruit & Honey Strawberry Jalapeno Fruit Spread.
Roll a few leaves of basil together, slice into thin ribbons, and sprinkle on top.
