My first experience with Romesco Sauce was from Sun Basket – a meal kit subscription service that I just love. Their sauces make the meal!

Any way, I loved their Romesco Sauce from the first bite. It’s such a unique blend of roasted red peppers, almonds, and paprika. While you can sometimes order a jar of their sauce with your meals, I only order meals from them occasionally.

I hunted down the ingredients they use and tweaked my own recipe until I had it just right!

Why This Recipe Works

  • This recipe is low carb, keto friendly, and gluten free.
  • It’s a quick, easy and healthy way to add flavor to your dishes.
  • This sauce is super versatile. You can use it from breakfast to dinner. Try it over an omelet or over a steak – the uses are endless!

How to Make Romesco Sauce

Prep!

Drain the liquid from the jar of roasted red peppers, then pat them dry with a paper towel.

Create!

Add all of the ingredients to a food processor or blender.

Pulse until your desired consistency is reached. Romesco usually has a nice texture to it, but isn’t chunky.

Serve warm or chilled.
