When I lived in Utah, there was a store called Great Harvest Bread Company near where I worked. That location made the best vegetarian sandwich. My favorite part was the roasted red pepper spread. Unfortunately, that location closed and the other locations didn’t make the same sandwiches.
Now, years later, I’m back where I grew up on the East Coast and finally have my own version of Roasted Red Pepper Spread. I can’t honestly say it’s an exact duplicate for the original since it’s been so long, however, I can say it’s pretty darn good! And, I still enjoy it on a vegetarian sandwich among many other uses.

Can this be frozen
Lauren Vavala says
Hi! This recipe can be frozen, however, it’s not really recommended because the texture of cream cheese can become grainy when frozen and then thawed out which can be bothersome to some people.
Hope this helps,
Lauren

could you tell me approx how many red pepers from a jar will equal a cup. I need to know what size jar to buy. Thanks
Lauren Vavala says
Hi Colleen, I would say to go with a 12 ounce jar, or larger if you don’t mind having extras for sandwiches/salads etc.
Hope this helps – Lauren

I use the peppedews in Potato salad, mixed with cream, mayonnaise etc. I also use them chopped up on top of the potato salad at xmas time, looks festive.

Oh I love peppadews! I haven’t made anything with them because they never last – we just eat them straight out of the jar haha!

Can you used Greek yougart instead of cream cheese? Thx!
Lauren says
I’ve never used Greek Yogurt in this particular recipe, but can definitely see it working out- it might just be a little thinner than if you use cream cheese.
