How To Make Pickled Garlic

Ingredients

Ingredients needed to make pickled garlic with text overlay.

  • Garlic: you will need about 4 to 5 whole heads of garlic. I like to buy the bags of already peeled garlic to make this recipe even easier.
  • Distilled Vinegar: you can use other types of vinegars to change the flavor slightly. Apple cider or rice wine vinegar are great alternatives.
  • Salt: pickling salt will give you the best results but kosher salt without additives can be used, as can table salt.
  • Sugar

The entire recipe and instructions can be found in the recipe card at the bottom of this post. You can also print the recipe from the card, if needed.

I’ve got plenty of garlic in my pantry, going to pickle them as I am going away on holiday and don’t want my garlic to go bad! Great recipe

My partner has recently gotten into all things pickles and they were just over the moon when I made these. The brine-to-garlic taste is spot on. We’ll absolutely be making these again!

My whole family are pickle heads… and love anything pickled! I always include a few cloves in each jar and it’s usually a fight over who gets them. If I did a whole jar like this, everyone would be happy!
