While out to dinner with extended family, my teenage son decided to order his first virgin cocktail – a Mojito Mocktail. He enjoyed it and asked if it was something I could make for him again sometime.

I found a non-alcoholic white rum, Lyre’s White Rum Alternative, and combined that with traditional mojito ingredients including fresh mint leaves, freshly squeezed lime juice, simple syrup and club soda.

This drink is slightly sweet, a little zesty and fresh. It’s the perfect beverage to serve over ice as a refreshing summer cocktail alternative.

Why This Recipe Works

This is a quick and easy mocktail to prepare. You only need 4 ingredients, and the non-alcoholic rum if you choose to use it. The recipe takes just a few minutes to mix it all together.

It’s made with simple, fresh ingredients to give you an authentic flavor without the alcohol so that anyone can enjoy it. If you choose not to use the non-alcoholic rum, it will still have really good flavor. It’s also much lower in calories than a mojito made with actual alcohol.

You can adjust the ingredients in this recipe to suit your own personal tastes. If you want it more or less sweet, adjust the amount of the simple syrup. If you want more or less mint and lime, you can easily adjust those too.

Step-By-Step Instructions

  • 6 mint leaves
