This is now my fourth Keto Krate and I just have to say that this has been such a great experience.
We are still having the majority of our groceries and snacks delivered to our home to avoid having to go into stores too often. Unfortunately, there are no health food stores near us available for delivery, so we’ve been ordering a lot of items online.
Keto Krate showing up every month has provided me with lots of new snacks to try so I don’t have to order a case of one product just to try it. Then, once I know that I like something (or love it!), I can jump online and order a case and know nothing will go to waste.
As I mentioned above, the May 2020 Keto Krate is my fourth box. If you’re interested, you can also read my April Keto Krate Review, March Keto Krate Review and my February Keto Krate Review.

May 2020 Keto Krate Review
Please keep in mind that this review is being written during a time when a lot of foods are unavailable and prices may be fluctuating. The prices listed are accurate at the time of this post.
This Keto Krate review includes some basic information about each product including the approximate price, some nutrition facts, any sweeteners in the ingredients, and my own personal thoughts on the product after sampling it.
Pyure Brand Chocolate Chip Baking Mix
Price: $9.99 for 1 package on the Pyure Organics website $8.49 on Amazon.com at the time of this post.
Nutrition: Each serving of 2 cookies has 5 grams net carbs, 1 grams protein, 3 grams fat, and 0 grams of sugar. They are gluten free.
Sweeteners: erythritol and stevia
Review: these were okay. They were very flat and broke easily until they were completely cool. So, if you like warm cookies, this isn’t going to work. I also felt the chocolate chips lacked taste. There are so many really good sugar-free chocolate chips on the market that would make these a lot better! I will say the cookie part does taste very similar to traditional chocolate chip cookies.
Highkey Brownie Bites
Price: I could not find the Brownie Bites, only the Brownie Cookies which are currently on sale for $21.38 for 6 bags with free shipping on orders over $50 on the Highkey website and $13.97 for 3 bags on Amazon.com.
Nutrition: There are 2 grams of net carbs, 12 grams of fat, 5 grams of protein, and 1 gram of sugar in each serving. They are gluten and grain free.
Sweeteners: erythritol, monk fruit, and stevia
Review: This is the first product that I’ve ever had from Highkey. My fiancé bought me a couple bags as part of my Valentine’s Day gifts this year and and I loved them!
Even though I’ve had them before, I’m always happy to see anything from Highkey show up in my Keto Krate. Everything that I’ve tried has been really good.
I am looking forward to trying even more Highkey products soon. The hot cereal is on my list!
Max Mallow Classic Vanilla Marshmallows
Price: $5.95 a bag on the My Know Brainer website (with free shipping on orders over $50) or $16.47 for 3 packages on Amazon.com.
Nutrition: Each serving has 1 grams of net carbs, 1 grams of protein, 0 grams of fat and 0 grams of sugar. They are dairy free and suitable for those following a paleo diet, as well.
Sweeteners: xylitol, erythritol, and monk fruit
Review: I have not yet tried these but will update this section as soon as I do. I did see in the pamphlet that came with the krate that they used the marshmallows in keto S’mores. Definitely need to try that!
Southern Recipe Small Batch Spicy Dill Pork Rinds
Price: The Southern Recipe Small Batch website will forward you to Rudolph Foods website to purchase. The price is $16.50 for 6 2-ounce bags. They are $23.99 for 6 4-ounce bags (note the difference sizes) on Amazon.com. Other flavors are about $10 less so this may fluctuate quite a bit!
Nutrition: There is 1 gram of net carbs, 4.5 grams of fat, and 8 grams of protein in each serving.
Sweeteners: they contain dextrose
Review: More pork rinds. I still don’t eat them, so I haven’t tried this product and don’t plan to. I just put these aside for my cousin.
Munchy Crunch Protein Snack in Rockin’ Ranch
Price: $24.00 for 10 packets on the Munchy Crunchy website. This item is not available on Amazon at this time.
Nutrition: Each serving has 4 grams of net carbs, 16 grams of protein, 7 grams of fat and 2 grams of sugar. They are vegan, gluten, nut, and dairy free.
Sweeteners: none
Review: These are an interesting addition to the box though. KetoKrate doesn’t typically send products that have soy unless it’s further down in the ingredient list. However, they did just send a survey and I do believe they asked if people minded products with soy.
These were good. They definitely satisfy the crunch craving! I do wish there was a bit more Ranch flavor, but overall I’d eat these again if I wasn’t limiting soy.
Keto Farms Nacho Cheddar Crunchy Cheese Mix
Price: $14.49 for 6 1-ounce packages on Amazon.com.
Nutrition: Each serving has 2 gram of net carbs, 16 grams of fat, 7 grams of protein and 1 gram of sugar.
Sweeteners: none
Review: This was so good! The combination of nuts and cheese is just brilliant. My only complaint is that I wanted more!
Mission Meats Tasty Original Grass-fed Beef Stick
Price: $19.95 for 12 meat sticks with free shipping on orders of $68.00 or more the Mission Meats website. They are 21.95 for 12 sticks on Amazon.com.
Nutrition: Each stick has 1 gram of net carbs, 6 grams of fat, 7 grams of protein and 0 grams of sugar.
Sweeteners: none
Review: These taste very similar to most other meat sticks. It was good and I do love that this one doesn’t have sugar in the ingredients. That just proves that it’s really not needed.
Fat Snax Brownie Bite
Price: $26.99 for 16 packs with free shipping on orders over $50 on the Fat Snax website or $34.99 for 16 packages on Amazon.com.
Nutrition: Each serving has 0 grams of net carbs, 5 grams of fat, 1 grams of protein and 0 grams of sugar.
Sweeteners: allulose, stevia, xylitol, and erythritol
Review: my first impression of this even before I opened the package, was that it was really small. Literally a bite (or two). But, it’s also really good. It reminded me of a TastyKake and it had a few chocolate chips in it, as well.
The price is the only thing keeping me from buying. It’s around $1.75-2.00 a bite and I know I’d eat at least 2 at a time. $4 for a snack is a bit much, but I’ll be keeping an eye out for sales or price drops.
Good To Go Strawberry Macadamia Snack Bar
Price: $23.94 for 9 bars on both the Good to Go website and on Amazon.com.
Nutrition: Each serving has 2 grams of net carbs, 14 grams of fat, 5 grams of protein, and 2 gram of sugar. They are gluten and grain free.
Sweeteners: erythritol
Review: This was really good. I rarely reach for fruit flavored bars instead of chocolate, but I’d definitely order these again!
Love Good Fats Coconut Macadamia
Price: $27.99 for 12 bars on the Love Good Fats website or on Amazon.com for $27.99 for 12 bars.
Nutrition: There are 4 net carbs, 14 grams of fat, 5 grams of protein, and 1 gram of sugar in each bar.
Sweeteners: none
Review: I have mixed feelings about this one. With the first bite, I felt something was missing. There are no sweeteners in this bar and if you’re used to a little something sweet in your bars, you’ll notice that right away.
It’s not a bad tasting bar, just not my favorite. The ingredients say that there is cinnamon in it. Maybe a touch more would be good.
Is Keto Krate Worth It?
In my opinion, Keto Krate is absolutely worth it. Here is the breakdown as to why I believe this.
First, in order to be able to try all of these products, you often (almost always) have to buy an entire box or multiple packs online since a lot of these foods are not yet available in stores or are only available in some health food stores. You can see the online prices in the pricing section of each item listed above.
For example, to try the Love Good Fats bars, I would have had to pay either $27.99 for a pack of 12 bars. If I didn’t like them, that would basically just be money lost.
Second, the total value of the items, should you be able to buy them all individually, has been about the same or more than the cost of the box and that’s not factoring in any shipping costs.
Third, it’s a really great way to find some keto friendly items to help you in your journey. This month my favorite finds that I’ve tried so far are the High Key Brownie Bites and the Fat Snax Brownie Bite, even though it was small and pricey.
In this box there are over 20 servings of keto-friendly snacks, largely in part due to the baking mix.
