When I’m following a keto diet, berries are my lifeline when the craving for fruit hits.
I often just eat a small handful for a snack, but decided to throw a few into my keto vanilla smoothie one day and bam! This super simple Keto Blueberry Smoothie was born, after a little tweaking, of course.
Why This Recipe Works
This recipe is very quick and easy to make. It’s the best for busy mornings.
This is a low sugar, high protein smoothie. There are approximately 6 grams of sugar and 22 grams of protein per smoothie.
With only 8 net carbs per serving, this recipe is low carb and keto friendly. It’s also naturally gluten free.
You might be wondering how in the world a smoothie recipe made with yogurt could possibly be low carb. The answer is that I use one of the low sugar yogurts that has more recently hit the market.
I use the Two Good brand blueberry yogurt. This gives the recipe more blueberry flavor and less carbs when combined with a smaller amount of fresh blueberries.
The high protein content of this smoothie is due in part to added collagen. I use Ancient Nutrition vanilla collagen which has 9 grams of protein per scoop. It also has stevia in it which adds a little extra sweetness to this smoothie.

How To Make A Keto Blueberry Smoothie
What You Need To Make This Recipe
To make this recipe you will need:
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 5.3 ounce cup of low sugar blueberry yogurt (I use Two Good brand)
- 1/4 cup blueberries
- 1 scoop vanilla collagen powder (I use Ancient Nutrition brand)
- 1 cup ice
Tip: if you don’t have collagen powder, you can omit it or use any vanilla protein powder in its place. You may find that you need a small amount of sweetener without it, but do try it before adding anything extra.
You can find the full recipe and instructions in the recipe card at the bottom of this post, as well. The recipe and instructions can be printed from the recipe card, if preferred.

FAQ’s
Can You Freeze A Smoothie?
You can freeze smoothies in an airtight container for up to 3 months. Allow to thaw and stir well before enjoying.
Are Blueberries Keto?
Blueberries have more carbohydrates than strawberries, blackberries, and raspberries. They should be eaten in smaller amounts than other berries or the carbs will add up fast.
This recipe uses only 1/4 cup of blueberries which has about 5 total carbs and 4 net carbs. Blueberries also provide fiber and antioxidants.

can’t wait to try this! will swapping heavy cream for the Almond milk produce a thicker smoothie? also if I wanted to use a different berry, like strawberry or mixed berry, would the measurements still be the same?
Lauren Vavala says
Hi Lauren! The swap for almond milk should be comparable in thickness. You can thin with a little water, if needed after blending. And yes, you can swap the berries with the same measurements.
Hope this helps,
Lauren
