It’s official, my addiction to Stitch Fix has returned!
After how amazing my December 2017 Stitch Fix was, I was anxious to schedule another fix. I waited until after the holidays and received my January 2018 Stitch Fix box in the second week of the month.
I asked for pretty much the same types of clothing as the previous box, and requested a pair of black jeans, since I have none.
My stylist was different this time, but after peeking at the card first, I think she totally got my style as well! Unfortunately some of the items weren’t quite the right fit, or color, for me.
Let’s get to it!
January 2018 Stitch Fix Review
Unfortunately, due to a winter storm, my box was delayed and arrived at a very busy time for me. I took photos of all the clothing on hangers, but did not have time to style and photograph everything on before I had to checkout and return the items I didn’t want. Hopefully next time!
Prosperity Lena Released Hem Skinny Jeans ($78.00)
I think my stylist played it a little safe with this pair of jeans. Trust me, I don’t blame her. I don’t think I’m the easiest person to style. These jeans are the same brand and cut as last month, just in black. While I don’t love the slight fading on the front, it didn’t bother me enough to send them back. I’ll definitely wear them! KEPT!
TRULY POPPY Gina Scalloped Sleeve Blouse ($58.00)
This top was the second item I tried on. It’s really cute. I love the pattern and the unique back. It’s a great, lightweight layering piece and dark blue is always a good color this time of the year! KEPT!
JACHS GIRLFRIEND Calinda Studded Detail Shirt ($68.00)
Flowy button down shirts were one of my requests for both of my last two fixes. I was really hoping this shirt would work out. I wanted a plaid print and this one is so cute – and incredibly soft! It’s more pink, than red, which I love. Unfortunately, I had gaps between the button at the chest, and it hung really awkwardly on me. I tried to wear it open, but it just didn’t do it for me. I also didn’t care for the little studs on the collar. It was a bit too country for me, I guess. RETURNED.
Dantelle Delia Lace Detail Knit Sweatshirt ($48.00)
Right out of the box, this looked too small for me. While it fit okay and I liked the lace sleeves, it hit just at the hips, which meant anytime I’d life my arms, my stomach would show. It was so comfortable, and I would love a similar top, just with more length and not white! White clothing doesn’t work out too well with a 2-year-old! RETURNED.
Octavia Mallory Stripe Infinity Scarf ($28.00)
I loved this before I even unfolded it. It’s just so pretty and the perfect colors for winter or spring! KEPT!
I really went back and forth on keeping it all, but ultimately decided that because the two shirts weren’t items I’d wear often, to return them and put the extra money I didn’t spend in savings!
The total for this fix was $260.00 ($280.00 – $20.00 styling fee). Had I kept everything I would have saved 25%, which would have brought my total to $190.00! It’s always a great Fix when you love the whole thing! Hopefully next time!
If you want to give Stitch Fix a try for yourself, you can do so HERE! There is a $20 styling fee, which is credited towards anything you purchase. If you don’t buy anything, you lose the styling fee, however, if you are super detailed in what you love and don’t love, you are sure to get at least one item to apply the $20 towards.
I hope this January 2018 Stitch Fix review was helpful!
