Why This Recipe Works
It’s actually really quick and easy to make most coffeehouse beverages at home. This iced latte uses just four ingredients and takes about 5 minutes to create.
The best part? It tastes as just good as your favorite coffee house too, but is definitely less expensive.
This recipe is very adaptable. You can make it as sweet as you want and it can also be made dairy free by using plant-based milk.
Step-By-Step Instructions
Ingredients
- 2 cups ice
- 2 cups whole milk (or milk of choice): non-dairy milk can be used but may alter the flavor and/or texture some.
- 1 cup hot strong coffee: you can use 2 shots of espresso with added water, or strong brewed coffee, but make sure it’s brewed strong so that the flavor holds up when mixed with milk and ice.
- 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar: the chocolate syrup might make the drink sweet enough for some, so only add sugar or extra sweeteners if you prefer your beverages on the sweeter side. You can use sugar, honey, or any other sweetener of your choice.
- whipped cream (optional topping)
