This Busy Moms Guide to Staying Healthy is intended to help keep you feeling good this winter so you can keep on doing all that you do!
As a work-at-home mom of two crazy boys, I really can not afford to get sick! I know tons of other mothers out there are in the same boat, which is why I’ve come up with this Busy Moms Guide to Staying Healthy. Hopefully, these tips will help us all stay healthier this season!
Eat Healthy – it makes sense right. Put good things into your body so you are at your best to fight off any sick germs that may come your way. With the holidays, this isn’t always the easiest thing to do, but definitely worth the extra effort!
Drink Green Tea – green tea is my go-to to help keep me feeling good all winter! I will usually enjoy a cup or two of green tea in the morning, then treat myself with a cup of chai tea in the evening. Should you get sick, a nice cup of warm tea can also be soothing and help you feel better!
Bigelow is my favorite brand of tea! I’m a tea lover and appreciate all the available flavors! I also love that Bigelow’s packaging keeps the tea fresh, is manufactured in the U.S., and they only use high-quality tea and ingredients! Bigelow makes it easy to Tea Proudly! The Green Tea with Lemon is my favorite!
Stay Active – it can be hard to stay active in the winter! If cold weather isn’t for you, try to find something you enjoy doing indoors! In-home workout equipment, fitness DVDs, or maybe even joining an indoor pool are all ways to help stay healthy.
Wash Your Hands – I feel like we are always telling our kids to wash their hands, but how often do you wash your own hands after a trip to the store or a day at the park? It’s important and will definitely help prevent you from getting sick!
Use Disinfectant Wipes – most grocery stores now offer disinfectant wipes for the shopping carts, but they come in handy around the house too. Use them regularly in the bathroom and kitchen, and especially if a household member is sick!
Teach Your Kids Good Habits – help your kids develop good habits to prevent getting sick as well. Busy moms know that if one child gets sick, the other(s) likely will too, and then it will be your turn! Have your kids change their clothes after school and wash their hands. Also, teach them to not get too close to others who may be sick.
Be sure to have plenty of disinfectant wipes and Bigelow Tea on hand! You can find tons of flavors of Bigelow Tea at Walmart so you can start stocking up now – cold and flu season will be here before you know it!
I hope these tips help keep you feeling great all season!
